Paul was crafty enough to build this little hammock area in the back yard. To the right is a table that he built around the tree. On the hammock itself is two pillows that were made by Jolie's mom. They are even monogrammed with a D for Daniels!
The hammock belongs to Ms. Cassidy, so we'll have to buy our own when she takes this one back. It's a lovely little place to relax in the evening. Good job everybody, good job.

A holiday in the life of............
We made our reservations for the Bed & Breakfast we will be staying in over the Memorial Day weekend in Fredericksburg. It is a precious little place that we are excited to stay at. Although we are going to miss Jolie's mom and Aunt Jo coming in for Kurt's graduation, we are excited to finally have some time away. With Paul's busy schedule we dont 'get that many weekend get aways or vacays and we could really use this holiday. We'll get to see the family Thursday- Saturday but then we'll head right through Luckenbach and straight to the B&B.
We have some friends coming up Sunday to spend the day and enjoy lunch and antiquing. Well, at least the ladies will enjoy antiquing. Either way it is a much needed little holiday.

P.S.
We started a Topsy Turvy Hot Pepper Planter. We have hot banana peppers, jalapeno, cayenne, and habanero . Can't wait to see how it turns out. We eat peppers constantly and these paired with the dehydrator we have- We could have fresh picked peppers for cooking and our own crushed red! I'll let you know how it goes.
(Just finished some YUMZ Caribbean Jerk flavored jerky this weekend. Turned out great except that I stayed away from the spice this time and of course we think it lacks in flavor now. Should have covered it with the red pepper and cracked black.)

Another weekend down
So it's Sunday evening (we overslept church service) and we're doing the usual: Cleaning, Yard work, always a trip to Lowe's and a good dinner before our "shows" come on. Every time we talk about Sunday evenings and our "shows" it makes me think of MawMaws that would watch their "stories" during the day time. Of course these "stories" were all the horrible Soaps that came on Monday - Friday.
Same difference.
For the first time in a while I'll be leaving tomorrow morning and Paul will be the one at home alone. I head out to Chicago for work Monday AM and don't come home until around midnight Tuesday night. Let's hope I don't get a phone call. :)

Lost and Not Quite Found
Paul came home on Thursday. He is going to be switching to the opposite shift on his barge so fortunately he is home for 4 weeks this time. He'll actually be home for Memorial Day, so we're uber excited.
Saturday we walked for the March of Dimes, March for Babies - Austin. I raised the EXACT AMOUNT OF MY GOAL!! $500.00!! It was such a pleasure to be able to help ensure that one day all babies are born healthy. We walked the 3.2 miles marching up to the capital of Texas with friends, family and neighbors. Thousands of people (including dogs, strollers, and little nuggets in wagons) joined and it was amazing to see how many people were fired up about the organization...........................
................. But, there was ONE little downfall. I managed to lose my brand new blackberry before the race even started. I was SO upset. The stupid thing was so new that we hadn't even gotten the partial rebate in the mail yet. Ugh, such a pain in the you-know-what to lose a phone. Luckily ( I wouldn't really call it luck), I had my old blackberry that I had just switched from and was able to maintain most of my contacts. Oh well, it could always be worse!
Lastly, I went to take my HSG test today. They are testing to see if there are any "major" problems with the trying to conceive journey. I haven't gotten the results back as of now so let's hope I dont have an anxiety attack before they call me tomorrow.
