Two years ago today we said "I do" in front of our closest friends and family. It had rained that morning in Las Vegas which is good luck on your wedding day. We got up (after spending the night together after all) and headed over to the house we had rented. The girls were tended to by our hair and make up artist while the boys headed back to the other rental house to light cigars and assist with a tux or two. Piled in the limo was the Bride, the Mothers and the wonderful bridesmaids. There was Farrah, the maid of honor: Best friends to the bride for 15 years. Also included was Ilona: the Groom's little sister and bestie to the Bride. Last but not least was Tara: Cajun Connection to the Bride.
Through Las Vegas we rode until we arrived in Henderson, Nevada where the coordinator took over and did an absolutely fabulous job making sure everything ran smoothly. We walked, we wed and we danced the night away. After the MOH and Best Man made their tearful toast, an open mic invitation turned this intimate wedding of 30 into "Cry Fest 2008". We danced, we sang, we ate, drank and were merry. (All the way until 5am when we cleared out of the VIP at VooDoo and had the 20 person Party Bus bring us to our knees!)
Looking back at that day (which is done far more than one would think) I wouldn't change a single last thing. It was the most magical experience of my life and I fell even more in love with that man I call my husband.
Happy Anniversary baby. I love you more than Blue Bell.

New Mejico
We recently drove from Austin, Texas to Pendaries Village, New Mexico for my best friend's wedding. We enjoyed the road trip there and were so glad to stay with our fresh, new baby cousin! Heath & Veronica were dolls and Mr. Devon is a heart breaker. The 12 hour drive back wasn't as fun. It involved a tornado. Yes, a tornado.
Like a doofus, I didn't get pictures of the adorable baby or the tornado, but I did get good pictures of us golfing. Does that account for anything? 18 holes in the mountains, a plethora of fruit, sandwiches, chips and energy drinks, and a heck of a good time - All in photos.

WOW!! 25 days to go!!!
Well, well, well. Here we are less than 30 days until the wedding, and surprisingly enough we are both still alive, and sane. Well, the latter term is used very loosely.
We had my bridal shower a few weekends ago, and it was absolutely lovely. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The decorations were beautiful, and the cake was AWESOME! It was so great to see all of the ladies I haven't seen in a while, and to meet some of the ones that I had not yet. We received some gorgeous gifts and can not wait to get the house so that we can have room to display everything like it should be. My mother gave us a BEAUTIFUL quilt that was hand made with my cousin. It won 3 blue ribbons and was so very special to us. It is definitely something that will stay in the Daniels family for ever.
Paul has been gone for almost two weeks now, and if he gets a week of over time, will be gone another two weeks. This is his last hitch before the wedding though, so it shouldn't be too, too rough. Once he is home he is going to be off for 4 weeks instead of 3, and two of those we will be traveling. Again, we can NOT WAIT to get to Mexico. We are hoping for beautiful weather during the duration of our honeymoon. Either way, you will be able to find us at the pool - rain or shine.
I've really enjoyed my new job, it has kept me CRAZY busy though. I've already done some traveling with the new position, and plan on doing a TON more after the wedding. I don't mind the travel, as long as I'm not gone the entire time that Paul is home. That could put us at only seeing each other for a week or two in a two month period. Oh well, might as well do it now while we don't have children.
We are planning on getting the house around the end of this year, or beginning of next year if things work out as planned. They usually don't so we'll see. :) We are still trying to decide what area / neighborhood we are wanting to stick too. We have a few in mind and we've been looking around and found quite a few that give us great ideas. Fingers crossed and we will be living it up in the same area we live in currently.
Well, lets see if we have time in the next 20 days to post some more info. If not, than it looks like the next time you hear from us, we will officially be:
MR. AND MRS. PAUL DANIELS

65 Days to go
So today makes 65 days until the wedding. Oddly enough we aren't too nervous yet. Excited? Yes. Nervous? No. These statements may seem in odd in light of recent situations. I have just been laid off from my job, and my departments last day will be 53 days before the wedding. This actually gives us more of a chance to make sure that we have time to take care of everything. There is still so much to do, but most of it is just little details so we should be fine.
Paul has been gone for over 2 weeks and will be home in 6 more days if he doesn't work any overtime. He only has one more hitch before the wedding! Then its off to Las Vegas for a week followed by a lovely week in Puerto Vallarta. We can't wait, and personally I think we are a little more excited about Mexico than we are the wedding! (Is that bad?) ;) We plan on doing some fishing and snorkeling. I can't wait to zip-line! I just love that.
